There was a new atmosphere surrounding Rusk’s opening practice tonight. That atmosphere was filled with the sweat and energy of the players and the words and anxiousness of the coaches. I have been to a few practices in my days, but none have ever seemed quite like this one did. The coaches and players alike had this energy about them. They had this anxiousness that this was the time to shine; a time to prove themselves to one another and to a town. |
